EWR Radar Systems Awarded Contract to Support U.S. Marine Corps MRS Portable Doppler Radar Program

In late September, the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific of the United States Department of the Navy announced EWR Radar Systems has been awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract providing Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for their Portable Doppler Radar program.

Under the contract, EWR will provide all CLS activities for the currently fielded Portable Doppler Weather Radar Systems. These activities include Program Management, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) work that will be done in St. Louis, Missouri at EWR’s headquarters, Depot Maintenance assistance for the facility in San Diego, California, and Field Support for operators throughout the world.

In addition to EWR’s line of portable weather radar systems, they also provide large, fixed-based weather radars to a wide array of clients. These clients include utility companies, oil companies, municipalities, first-alert responders and foreign governments including South Korea, Poland, Mexico, Indonesia, Myanmar, Australia and The United Arab Emirates.
